It's A Small Small World

Now I knew that the gay world was small, but this weekend just took that to its extreme. I was in fabulous San Diego for the Lavender Law Conference and had such a random run in I was shocked. First let me say that San Diego is just great. More law firms should move there and then give me a job. They truly can claim to have the greatest weather in the country. One person told me they liked having four seasons, but I say if I want a winter I can take a ski vacation or something if I lived in San Diego. As it is I plan on moving to Chicago so I will be well acquainted with winter, but I would certainly not cry over the loss of snow should I ever get the chance to go to San Diego.
So anyways, while in San Diego we went out to the local gay bars. They were fun and I loved the atmosphere at Rich's. Some would call it shady as Im sure the drugs were flowing, but I always say if you dont wanna do them just ignore those who do. I love places like that but have never used an illegal drug in my life. It had some hot go go dancers and some hot patrons. Well the night before that I had run into this guy named Antonio who was very cute, but we didnt get a chance to talk cause he went home to sleep. But there I was at Rich's, hanging out with the folks when he walked up and said hi. Not to go into too many details but he bought me a drink and we talking and he let me spend the night with him, lol. He also said I had a very innocent looking face which I think could serve me well if that's true. But thats all besides the point.
So we wake up the next day and shower and get dressed and are about to go to breakfast when two of his friends come over to pick up their clothes. They had all been planning to go to a costume party the night before and so had all changed into their costumes at his house, so they were coming to get their regular clothes which they had left there. I was sitting on the couch putting on my shoes when the two of them walked in and I had to do a double take. Cause I knew him. I met him when I was a junior at Texas A&M and though we were never friends, we knew each other pretty well. I maybe spent an evening with him and his boyfriend a coupletimes. So I was a little freaked out that this guy I knew from Texas A&M was walking in the door of this random guy I went home with while I happened to be in San Diego at a conference. What are the odds? Such craziness in the gay world. I have to say thus far in my life that is by far the most random occurance. Just goes to show you what a small world it is. And the gay world is even smaller. Like the moon compared to the earth.
