The End of the World with a Gay James Bond

Well shocker of shockers, a bill passed the Senate yesterday with a vote of 93-5. That's right, the United States Senate actually passed a law where almost everyone agreed. That alone is an incredibly momentous occasion. Maybe it is a sign of the apocalypse afterall when both Republicans and Democrats can agree on legislation. The Guff must be empty (see The Seventh Sign for this reference, or a rabbi). And you know, part of that apocalyptic story is that a baby will be born without a soul (this is the seventh sign). And you know, as I look to all the headlines, what pops up but stories of Suri? The latest is that Penelope Cruz has seen the baby and it is doing well. But maybe Suri was born without a soul. I mean if it was going to happen, who better than the child of Tom Cruise and his brainwashed captive from Dawson's Creek.
In other, more exciting news (the end of the world is so overdone), I was listening to the radio the other day and they were talking about Lance Bass coming out. I personally have mixed feelings about this. On one hand I am excited that he was finally able to come out. On the other hand, that now means all those heteros who said N'Sync was gay are now right, and that just bugs me. I was a little surprised to see who Lance was dating too. First, though a fun person I am sure, Lance Bass isn't really all that hot. But the guy he is dating is very cute. Second, the guy he is dating is the one who won The Amazing Race with his HUSBAND. So Lance's coming out has also shined a spotlight on the fact that so many "deep and meaningful" gay relationships end. And though I have pondered it, I really can't come up with any reason that Lance Bass coming out is a sign of the apocalypse. Oh, I just realized that I totally strayed from the exciting news that was on the radio. It wasn't the Lance Bass story. Instead they starting talking about rumours that the new James Bond (Daniel Craig) is gay. Well I have of course looked into this, and what they mean is that in one movie he made out with a guy. Sadly in real life he is not gay (that I know of). And while writing this blog I went back and looked at some photos of him and damn what Hollywood can do. The photos of him in real life aren't really all that great. But the shots from Tomb Raider and the new movie make him look really hot. The trailer for Casino Royale has him walking out of the ocean (just like Halle Berry in the last one) in just a square cut swim suit (thank you for going gay) and damn does he look hot. Makes me want to just jump him.
